What is your favourite invention ever made and why?

Mine is the lightbulb as it is an amazing invention by Thomas Edison. I find it a great invention so you can see where you are going with a flick of a switch. Also, so you do not need to carry a candle everywhere you go when you are wandering around the house at night.
