Genius Hour or Passion Hour is when every week you can do what ever you want for an hour. You can do anything.

Next term my class (6M) will be doing Genius/Passion Hour

I know many people are stumped on what they should do, so I thought I could give a few suggestions:

Art

If you love art (like me) I suggest that you do something involving art for Genius Hour.  Here are some examples:

Make buildings, objects or games out of recycled materials

Use paint and a paintbrush to do a detailed painting

Draw funny cartoon characters

Origami

Card making

Or make sculptures out of clay or any other material

Writing

If writing is a hobby of yours here are some ideas:

Write a chapter book

Write many individual small stories and then paste them all in a scrapbook

Write a play

Or blog posting

Other

If you want to do something else:

Design an outfit or a piece of equipment

Try and do magic tricks

Make something out of Lego

Make up a dance routine

Read

Research different inspiring people

Make a lesson on PowerPoint or Keynote

Invent a sport

Or create a game
